have been on for 8 years becasue of PMR ... She told me PMR only lasts 1 year EMPHATICALLY ... dismissively and that I just needed to taper ... (I went up to 4 and tapered quickly ... happiness is more beneficial than 2 mg of Prednisone

I didn't want to take Prednisone either. It wasn't as though I was given a choice....
I didn't want to take Prednisone ... other times, when the pain wasn't PMR ... was the same but it all seemed like PMR ... the medication that enabled me to taper ... off prednisone was worse than prednisone

No meant unable. Not preaching here but only explaining. Generally after about 2 weeks your body...
Cortisol is being supplied by the prednisone ... can no longer function without the prednisone ... Dr's attempt to taper you off the ... prednisone to allow your body time ... PMR unfortunately can take 6 months
