Welcome to our new Mayo Clinic Connect page

Jul 11, 2019 | Rebecca Hynes | @hynesrebecca

Welcome

We hope that you find this new web page a valuable means to receive timely communication. With 1,500 volunteers, who serve in different areas at different times, it can be challenging reaching all of you in a timely manner. We have also received feedback about sometimes receiving too many emails and not always seeing information that gets posted in the volunteer offices.

Our volunteer newsletter committee has graciously developed stories that we will be sharing with you over the weeks ahead. Some content is general interest stories while other content is more focused on sharing information  you may find valuable while serving patients and visitors. We also want to share stories to recognize accomplishments and service areas and help you all get to know one another.

If you have a passion and skill for writing, please notify your campus manager to explore joining our writing team. If you have a specific topic you are interested in that you think would make a great story idea, please also share that with your campus manager.

We will be sending out a survey in a few weeks to get your feedback on this new communication platform. Our goal is to share information that you enjoy reading and information that helps you during your volunteer shifts.

Additionally, we are hosting some information sessions to learn more about navigating this web page and to receive feedback. These sessions are scheduled for:

  • Thursday, August 1, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Charter House 1-160
  • Friday, August 2, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Generose MN 101A
  • Thursday, August 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Charter House 1-160

If interested in attending a session, please sign up using the following link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080A4EA5AE28AAFD0-mayo4

Thanks again for your amazing volunteer service. You are a valuable part of our team.
