Meet Peggy: Patient Honors Her Liver Donor and Faith in New Book

By Mayo Clinic Transplant Staff, @mayoclinictransplantstaff

Peggy prayed for a miracle after being diagnosed with end stage liver disease and put on the transplant list. She got one. Just 12 hours after being listed, she got a call from the hospital that a matching donor had been found. Read Peggy’s story and how she’s honoring the life of her donor, a four-year-old boy named Michael killed in a boating accident.

Read Peggy’s full story.

Have you thought about ways you might honor your donor, whether they are living or deceased?
