Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood for the Alzheimer’s Association, “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” community event, on November 04, 2023, in Phoenix, AZ. The event had community vendors (services in the memory care space), free vendor merchandise, food, live music, and a self-paced 1 mile or 3 mile walk through downtown Phoenix.

Our Arizona HABIT team has attended this walk every year for the past several years. It’s a moving experience to see individuals, families, and teams walk in solidarity for this important cause. The walk was filled with messages of hope on signs and t-shirts, with local car enthusiasts honking their horns and cheerleaders cheering everyone one.

We walk so that future generations don’t have to.  We walk so we have more time with our loved ones.  We walk so one day we find a cure.

The Alzheimer’s Association provides programs and support to people who have mild cognitive impairment (MCI), Alzheimer’s dementia, and other types of dementia.  They also offer support and resources to their care partners, healthcare professionals, and public.  The Alzheimer’s Association is the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s research.
