Happy National Volunteer Week!

Apr 20, 2021 | Rebecca Hynes | @hynesrebecca

During National Volunteer Week we want to celebrate your commitment to volunteering at Mayo Clinic. You are an important part our team, and you consistently exhibit Mayo Clinic’s primary value “The needs of the patient come first.” You demonstrate your commitment in many ways including years of service, service hours, and, most recently, your eagerness to return to volunteering.

While we know many of you made the tough decision to stay home, and away from your passion to serve others, or we have not yet activated your desired service area yet, we are overwhelmed by the significant number of volunteers requesting to come back and ready to serve. For volunteers who are active on-campus, we are happy to report that your commitment in 2021 has surpassed every expectation! To date, average service hours per active volunteer are up 37% versus last year. For this we thank and celebrate you!
