Feb 28, 2022 | Sarah Palmer | @sarahpalmer

I am excited to introduce new Mayo Clinic volunteer Samiira Khayro! Samiira is studying health sciences at University of Minnesota - Rochester and will be participating in our College Volunteers program. You may see her staffing the Eisenberg Subway Welcome Desk or in other patient-facing service areas.

Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: No, I'm from Eden Prairie. I go to school at UMR.

Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: I like hanging out with friends and family, reading, and listening to music.

Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: My phone, food, and a first-aid kit.

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: Making my parents proud.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: How big it is and all it has to offer.

Welcome to MCVP, Samiira!
