New Volunteer: Kevin Gao

Please welcome new MCVP volunteer Kevin Gao! Already part of the Mayo Clinic family as a PhD student at Mayo Grad School, Kevin has taken on additional responsibilities around campus as a volunteer. He will be volunteering weekly at the Eisenberg Subway Welcome Desk.

Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: No - I grew up in China, then lived in Singapore, Maryland, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Chicago, and now Rochester.

Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: Hiking and fishing (when/if I have time outside my research)

Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: Coffee, fishing rod, and headphones

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: Getting into the PhD program at Mayo Grad School.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: The people who work here.
