New Volunteer: Atefeh Ghorbanzadeh

We are excited to welcome Atefeh Ghorbanzadeh to the MCVP team! Atefeh, who is a medical school graduate and has worked overseas as a general practitioner, joined Mayo Clinic as a research trainee a few months ago. She will be volunteering at the Eisenberg Subway Welcome Desk.

Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: No, I'm originally from Iran.

Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: I'm a research trainee at Mayo Clinic.

Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: My boyfriend, a book, and my cell phone.

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: Being a doctor and helping other people.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: I've found Mayo to be a very supportive and helpful place with advanced facilities that help me to improve my skills.
