Meet new MCVP volunteer Abhinga Dutta! Abhinga will be volunteering regularly in several service areas around the downtown campus, including Mayo Clinic Store - Compression, Mastectomy, & Wigs, the Methodist hospital gift shop, Chemotherapy, and the Eisenberg Subway Welcome Desk.
Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: No, I came from Carmel, Indiana to live here in Rochester, last year in April.
Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: I like to read, cook, and spend time with the family. I have a 6-year-old daughter so I like to chat with her because she is very good at it. 🙂
Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: Family photograph, a book, and my mobile phone, although I don't expect to get internet there. 🙂
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: In 2013, I qualified for the entrance exam to be a government-registered teacher in my home country (India). I ranked 21 among lots of other participants.
Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: People here are very helpful, well-behaved, and compassionate.
Welcome to the team, Abhinga!Â
