As we wait for services areas to resume on-campus volunteer activities, many are active including: No One Dies Alone, Caring Canines, Hospital Gift Shops, Welcome Desks, Elevator Assistants, Flower of Hope, Wayfinding, Patient Education, Special Projects, Pink Ribbon Mentors, and Handicrafts.
To activate service areas, we are working closely with Legal, Infection Prevention and Control and departmental leaders to gain approvals. Also, a dialogue takes place with service area managers on their readiness to open as well as changes required to service descriptions and volunteer training checklists.
The good news? Several service areas are opening soon, including the Mayo Clinic Store and Desk C located downtown, libraries at our Saint Marys and Methodist campuses, and one service area at the East Tower on our Saint Marys Campus. As we activate volunteer activities, we will continue reaching out to you.
Thank you for your patience during these difficult times. We value your loyalty and celebrate your dedication!
