Feel the Beat 2014 is just around the corner and the excitement is building! Here are the top eight reasons to attend Feel the Beat on November 8:
- The fun, free event connects HLHS heroes and their families to the doctors who are exploring new approaches to understanding HLHS.
- It’s an opportunity to meet other HLHS families and heroes to build connections and raise awareness.
- Guest speakers, including Meghan Roswick, Nick Zerwas, and Jason and Susan Smith, will provide their own personal experiences and give insight as to how they are raising congenital heart disease awareness.
- The science fair will be so much fun that the kids will leave wanting to become researchers!
- Team members from the Todd and Karen Wanek Family Program for HLHS will be there to answer questions and show you how they are making a difference in HLHS research.
- Representatives from neighborhood support groups will make an appearance to reveal all that Mayo Clinic and Rochester has to offer.
- Exciting challenges will test your skills and keep you engaged.
- The event is held in November and not January in Minnesota. November has a lot less snow!
