August Wellbeing Calendar

Focusing on our individual wellbeing and self-care is important.  Self-care is about taking an intentional and active part in one’s own wellness. We've written about this topic before in our blog, but we thought this month we'd give you a specific activity every day to focus on your self-care. We encourage you to review our August Wellness calendar and let us know what activities you like best.

In addition, we'd encourage you to try this compassion meditation recently developed by Mayo Clinic.

Compassion Meditation:

This is a heart meditation that focuses on developing feelings of kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others. Loving-kindness is not earned, it’s unconditional, it’s freely given with “no strings attached.”  There is no expectation of something in return.

After completing the meditation check in with your heart and your emotions and notice how you feel.  Each time you do the meditation it may feel different.  Accept whatever may come from it, embrace it or learn from it.

We encourage you to become more intentional about cultivating positive and helpful thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships!
