Description

Caring for the Caregiver Support Group meets weekly on Thursdays from 12-1 p.m. MT (Find your time zone.)

This is a group specifically for those who care for a loved one- regardless of their medical issue. This group was formed as a way to connect, share and receive support from others navigating the often overwhelming journey as caregiver.

All caregivers welcome. The group is for caregivers, so we respectfully ask that patients not attend. Currently the group meets virtually via Zoom.

Sharing the news with my husband. He has been such a wonderful advocate since day 1 when I was in the ER and then admitted into the hospital that led to my diagnosis of high grade Sarcoma T3 N0…in my thigh. He is an amazing person and even though he is completely blind he has braille notes of all my medication and the time he administered it for safety. Waking every 2-3 hours to give me my medicine, escorting me to all appointments and radiation treatments. I’m homebound but he has been the “chief cook and bottle washer “ taking over all household responsibilities. I am blessed with his positive attitude and can do attitude as well as a prayer warrior in our lives.

Your husband is to be commended. Being a caretaker is a full-time responsibility and I can't imagine doing it without benefit of sight. Best wishes for the new year ahead for your health and happiness!
