I personally love Fluconazole vs the OTC stuff in the capsule. When I have one I always ask for Fluconazole, it gets the job done with no mess.

I suffer frequently especially if I am on antibiotic I get riot right away. I use falconazole pill and ctream. The sooner you use it the sooner it goes away.

OTC for yeast has never been effective for me. I always call the doctor for a script.

Fluconazole has worked well for me for a yeast infection (vaginal) and if I remember correctly also for the treatment of a fungal infection (toenail). I vaguely remember a side effect to be aware of but I’ve long since forgotten what it was. What I’m not understanding is what this discussion is doing in the Kidney & Bladder group? What am I missing?

@lisamae, no need to apologize. I was confused and checking myself. Don’t you just hate it when there is more than 1 thing going on at the same time? Hopefully at this point both the UTI and yeast infection are clearing up. Here’s a thought. Sometimes being on an antibiotic for an infection such as UTI can also wipe out the good bacteria your body needs and lead to yeast infection. (Happened to me more than once.) At that point adding some probiotics can be helpful such as live culture yogurt, acidophilus, kefir. Check with your provider first to be on the safe side.
