Xifaxan approval with insurance

I’ve seen people on here say they take Xifaxan everyday and have been for years. My GI said he has a patient that takes it everyday and he said I could too but my insurance will not approve it! I’m contemplating switching insurances. It’s an HSA with United Healthcare through my parents. I doubt people are paying out of pocket for it since it’s insanely expensive, but I’m curious to know how people are making it work.
