Would you have arthritis scraped away from a prior back surgery?

Posted by brotherchuckles80 @brotherchuckles80, Jul 18, 2024

I am 80 years old. I have had two or three back and neck surgeries. Over the past twenty years, arthritis has developed in the areas of my neck and spine surgeries. With pain medication, the pain is tolerable in both areas, at this time. If it were to worsen, and you were me, would you have a surgeon do something about it? Thank you, brotherchuckles80.

Arthritis is the inflammation. If I had bone spurs, especially in the neck, I'd consider having those sharp little bones endoscopically removed. I'd be reluctant to have surgical scars removed, but would consider that too.
if the pain were only bearable and I'd be able to quit taking medicine. I'd need a very skilled surgeon.
I'd try massage and chiropractic first, brotherchuckles80.
