I looked at your audiograms. I have a similar problem. Over time here is what I learned: make sure you are seeing a licensed audiologist, get hearing protection plugs if you have loud exposure, keep all of your audiograms, move close to the person you need to hear, see your audiologist on a regular basis, and get away from the tv and do some fun things to distract yourself from the tinnitus.
Your ultra high frequencies sometimes changes? (Sometimes better/worse)
My hearing respond to prednisone
I have ten years’ worth of audiograms which I just looked over with Mayo ENT. At first my high frequencies on the left would be worse than the right, then next year would be level. Over time my left got worse more quickly than my right. I don’t yet meet the criteria for having asymmetry, meaning clinically worse on left compared to right. Like you the deficits are in the high frequencies. I will have another audiologist check at Mayo in May. If I come to the point where the asymmetry is bad enough I will have an MRI. I’m not too worried because my speech understanding is good, as measured by the audiologist. In the real world, I judge my speech understanding to be lower than that. Best of luck to you. Remember to keep all your audiograms with a licensed audiologist and avoid loud noises. Technology has improved since I first lost hearing acuity so I’m sure it will for you. Please keep us posted.
All of my hearing tests is in the biggest hospital in my country do you think is AIED?
Hi @aviorrok, Keep in mind that this website connects patients and family caregivers. We are not medical professionals. We can only share our personal experiences. We can't provide a diagnosis and are not qualified to answer whether you have Autoimmune Inner Ear Disease (AIED).
I'm glad that you are being cared for by one of the biggest hospitals in your country. You're asking very good questions for your care providers. As @mpeters underlines, it is important to work with a qualified audiologist and ENT specialists.
I’m not familiar with AIED, sorry. Please keep us posted and the best to you in your search for answers.
