Why can you not use Ketamine for RSI for polypharmacy overdose?

So I work as an EMT and am a Paramedic student. On a call today, we had a polypharmacy overdose. We had to RSI and my supervisor informed the medic that you cannot sedate for RSI with ketamine in a polypharmacy overdose. Why is that?

I believe you’ve wondered onto the wrong site. We are majority patients communicating with other patient members about our illnesses. Not many professionals here but I’m a retired nurse of 40 years and your acronym “RSI” does not ring a bell. Try an inpatient critical care pharmacist. But I believe I found your answer. You might also speak with your supervisors as it may be protocol by your governing medical body too. Take a look
