Who to contact for help with Veterans Camp Legeun

Who can help provide a medical opinion on my husbands claim for VA benefits for time as Marine at Camp Legeun? He had a giant cell tumor treated by multiple surgeries at Mayo Clinic 52 years ago after serving in Marines after coming nsuming contaminated water at Camp Legen. His surgeon, Dr Franklin Simms has since been long retired. . Medical records had been sent to VA but no opinion was sent. The VA has denied his claim as no opinion was provided. We’ve been told that there is nobody now available help. My husband hasn’t been to Mayo for several years for treatment and they are now unable to give us any support. But he had been repeat patient for the past 50 years.
Very frustrated. Thank you for any help.

Fyi there are a number of legal firms who have special programs to solicit Vets impacted by the water table at Camp Lejeune. Call any Personal Injury law firm in North Carolina and they can steer you and help solicit and gather needed documentation.
Just Google LeJeune Vet claim …

We have been to the site and filed claim last year. The VA response was that they need medical opinion that would provide reason why his tumor should qualify him for benefits. Mayo says they have no one to provide opinion since his doctors have retired and surgeries were more than 50 years ago.
