Hello....I am in the USA and had Girdlestone surgery 2.5 years ago due to infection. I'm doing quite well and walk with crutches or walker and pretty much pain free most of the time. Did you recently have this surgery? The rehab is long, but with determination and exercise, I have found most people do pretty good. Please feel free to reach out if you have specific questions for me. ........Cindy

Thank you for your post Cindy. If I end up down that avenue it really is helpful to know that it didn’t work out for someone. Thank you.

Hello Vicky.....you are most welcome. I hope whatever problems you are having can be resolved without a Girdlestone, but there is life after one if you have to go through it. I have connected with maybe 10-12 people who have gone through it also. There is a Facebook page I belong to if you want to join it that serves as a nice support group. It's called " Hip Replacement Complication Forum" if you want to join it. Wishing you the best of luck.....Cindy

Hello Vicky....if you type in 'Hip Replacement Complication Forum" in Facebook search, it should come up. I'm trying to attach a screenshot of the page. Once you find it, you have to ask to join it. I hope this helps.....Cindy
