Who do I talk with?

Posted by dougie12 @dougie12, Dec 25, 2024

Greeting ,

1st all is I had stroke and type is a little slow. "My Insurance " will work with you (Mayo). I also work with Attorneys that work with the VA Administration.

Getting a Computer AI and MRI is important. I would like to work with Mayo and I need to now where do I start? Who do I talk with ?

Can they work with me on emails? ...Sometimes I had problems hearing on a phone. What questions do you have?

Best regards,
Dougie

Hi @dougie12, If you’d like to work with Mayo in finding answers for your spinal issues, the best way to start would be to initiate a request for an appointment. Here is a link which will help you get started:
http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
Click on the link and it will take you to the Mayo Clinic web site where you can follow the prompts for New Patient. You may choose the Mayo campus which would be most convenient for you. You’ll be able to speak with a coordinator who will then direct your inquiry to the proper department.

You don’t need a referral but I’ve heard it can be helpful.
Would your doctor be able to assist with your referral?

Hi @dougie12.
The best way to get direct answers about billing and coding related to Mayo Clinic and your insurance is to contact Mayo's Billing & Insurance department on Monday https://www.mayoclinic.org/patient-visitor-guide/billing-insurance/contact-us

Looks like you’re getting conflicting information between Mayo and your provider. Hopefully this helps you go forward with finding answers.

Good morning Lori,

I've resolved it. Can Mayo use my Xrays in the 70's and MRI'S done IN 2022. Can use it to AI Computer? Lastly, does Mayo have anyway to work with Imaging Centers in WNY Buffalo NY area?

Thanks
Dougie

@dougie12 Is your question about sending in imaging to Mayo for review with an appointment request? Usually with spine matters, they request current imaging and that is usually something that was done within the last year. X-rays that are 50 years old may not be looked at because a lot changes in 50 years. If you do get an appointment, they may request new imaging. You can request any of your imaging on CDs and mail them in to Mayo after you talk to an intake coordinator who sets up an account for you. When you mail in records and imaging, it will be uploaded into their networks, so the review of your request will be accessed in your account that will have your imaging and records recorded. Another option is to work locally with a Mayo Clinc Care network Hospital where you receive care locally, but your providers have access to experts at Mayo for consultation. Did I answer your question, or is it something else?
