Welcome, @bresieberg, and congrats. You ask a good question, which I'm going to answer with a question (how annoying). May I ask why you would need a protein drink? Are you finding it hard to get enough protien with your pregnancy?
Yes, as I seem to have 0 appetite for any meat. It makes me nauseas just smelling meat. I am not a vegan by any means either. I have been drinking ensures which seems to help but I had read that only certain protein drinks are good for you so I am trying to get some better advice than from the google.
I’m not pregnant but I would like to know a good protein drink too. I usually don’t consume enough meat to get my daily intake of protein.
You might be surprised how much protein you already get from foods that aren't meat. Online I have found a couple of nutrient-tracking tools. One is called cronometer; there is a free version or you can pay for more features if you want. You can type in your foods for the day and see how your macronutrients (carbohydrates, protein, fats— ALL of which we need by the way) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) add up for the day. Another one is myfooddata.com where I use the 'recipe nutrition calculator' to type in my foods for a day as if they were one 'recipe',
If you are still looking for extra protein, you can look up protein powders, a few of which can be purchased with no sugar or artificial sweeteners (even Worse!) added. Powders may be mixed into baking recipes, homemade smoothies, or even peanut butter.
I hope you are already taking a prenatal vitamin with some omega 3's also.
