When is a good time to start Zometa?

I have prostate cancer with 3 small lesions on the pelvis.
My Mayo oncologist suggests that I should wait for Zometa infusions until my PSA increases; now it’s undetectable.
My two local oncologists recommend Zometa now, even though my bone scans show no changes in my bone integrity.
Anyone with views or related experience?

A bone Doctor at the most recent conference said that everybody on ADT should be taking bone strengtheners.

I took Fosamax for six years while on ADT. I am now taking Zometa.

You should’ve been on it as soon as you started ADT according to that doctor.
