What's outside of your picture window today?

Posted by John, Volunteer Mentor @johnbishop, Nov 25, 2020

As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what’s going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?

For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

Outside our window this morning. They said there was a winter weather warning, but I didn't realize snow would drop this low [we are at 1400']. My husband went out to take pictures again! My Seger rock pile is not very visible.

@gingerw.. Burrrr. Beautiful but I don't think I can handle this kind of weather. I guess this makes staying at home easier.

You can't tell by the picture but a fine powdery snow is falling pretty steady when I took this a few hours ago. The flakes are larger now and it's due to stop around 1 pm with a total looking to be around 3+ inches. It does look pretty outside and I'm starting to see a few birds at the feeder.

Newly fallen snow paints such a peaceful picture! Thanks for the view from your window, John,

How interesting, @naiviv. I would have guessed that Roscoe was younger. I always thought Labradors were larger dogs as adults. Perhaps the snow makes him look smaller?

This fellow has been guarding his favorite peanut butter/suet/birdseed feeder from the birds off and on all day. He can't really eat from it because he falls off the slippery hook – but he doesn't want to share either! Only the cardinal is big enough to chase him away.

Squirrels can be a nuisance, but they sure are fun to watch!

I'm feeling very blessed that I was able to take these 2 photos this morning though the glass of my patio doors (without having to go outside)! There's a small creek nearby that birds frequent for a "snack" (minnows).
