What's outside of your picture window today?

Posted by John, Volunteer Mentor @johnbishop, Nov 25, 2020

As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?

For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

Here are a few pictures outside my window this week. I am also including a few pictures from site seeing as well. I am in Egypt with my daughter on an amazing tour.

Thank you so much for sharing those photos, @alive! I’m thrilled for you and your daughter, that you’ve finally gotten to realize the dream that started so many years ago! Having overcome AML and a bone marrow transplant, you’ve regained much of your former life that was put on hold! This is truly inspirational for anyone facing a medical crisis to never give up hope! Continued safe travels!
Have you had any limitations because of being immune compromised?

I got my Hepatitis A and typhoid vaccines as a precaution. Now that I’m in Egypt, I use only bottled water for drinking and brushing teeth. I am not eating salads, only cooked vegetables. I can eat fruit that has to be peeled. I’m probably over cautious, but I haven’t had an upset stomach or any other symptom so far. I am looking forward to having a huge salad when I return.

I don’t think you’re being too overly cautious at all! I’d be doing the same thing. It’s better to be safe than potentially ruin the trip! This is such a wonderful vacation for you and your daughter…I’m living vicariously. ☺️

Three horses (mares), three goats, about 30 Mallard ducks, and two terriers who bark their heads off whenever the neighbor's feral cat comes around. The barking just about drove me insane today, but I love them anyway, they're cute and comical. We're on 12 acres in central Oregon and the snow has melted, yay!

Minus 7 degrees out here in southern Minnesota. Saw one of my favorite birds, female Cardinal, all fluffed up on my BirdBuddy feeder this morning.
