What to eat & how to heal Foveolar Hyperplasia

Posted by zurchmom @zurchmom, Aug 13, 2024

I’ve had GERD my whole life & a small hiatal hernia. Recently an Endoscopy recently shows I’ve developed Focal Foveolar Hyperplasia & gastritis. I can’t find a diet to help heal it and nothing seems to help. Common sense says no alcohol, acid foods, spicy foods, caffeine & limited fats, salt, etc. It would be helpful to have a diet to follow. I’ve been drinking aloe juice which seems to help. PPIs barely work.

I was just diagnosed with this. I have a history of stomach ulcers. I have found that staying away from fatty, greasy foods helps. I do not drink alcohol or caffeine or carbonation. I eat very bland things like yogurt, applesauce, fresh fruits, and vegetables, and lots of homemade smoothies

I would think your gastroenterologist would be helping you with this!

I would research low acid diet and go off dairy yogurt and possibly gluten

Thank you. I’ve done that. I also have celiac. I’m vegetarian at best.

They are but as I stated I have a long history of it. I’m extremely proactive about my own healthcare

I also have progressive multiple sclerosis and a host of other autoimmune disorders so it complicates things
