What brought you joy today?
If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:
1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

Yesterday, what brought me joy was having my kids and their girlfriends over for a late lunch to celebrate our 30th anniversary (which is tomorrow). It also brought me joy to learn to play Catan with them.
Today, what brought me joy was walking my dogs with my youngest son this morning.
I met my daughter and my grandchildren today ☺️

I’ve been so very lucky to have my wonderful A team support group! Today I introduced 2 of them over coffee and it was so special seeing 2 wonderful friends making a new friend each ❤️🩹
Waking up with my cat lying by my side and snuggling up with me. Got to together with friends last night for a while. That brought me Joy.
Welcome! And I hope you find many other sources of joy along your cancer journey. It's tough sometimes, but it can also bring wonderful surprises, especially learning to better appreciate the "little" important things (family, friends, nature, pets, etc) that get drowned out when one is constantly fussing over things like doom in the news, finances, or endless household to-do lists.
Welcome to Mayo Connect, @susan528! It is good to find others to share the journey.

Hearing from a new friend after a 6 week silence! All is well!
A wonderful neighborhood potluck celebrating the 4th of July. Great friends, great food, lots of shade under trees, perfect weather, lots of fun stories and laughs. A good time was had by all!
