What brought you joy today?

If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:

1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

My husband finally able to sleep in our bed since August 7 operation for Colon Cancer. Never thought I'd miss those snores.

A "new" old Ramirez classical guitar as a gift. The tone is beautiful.

I'm so sorry. Some days the joy is hard to find.

I don't always realize it at times, but I know I was down for a while, guess that's why we call it a roller coaster. Today I feel so much better. I get it, it's cancer, nobody said it would be an easy ride. I'm in a good mind set today, also, I did a small project in the garage, yes before it wouldn't of taken as long, but it did make me feel good. Also rake a small pile of leaves left over in the back and brought down to the street for pick up. I like to come here to share and at the same time its rewarding to myself. A big shout out to North for coming up with the idea. It helps all of us. Best to all.

I went to a street faire today that was filled with arts and crafts from amazingly talented people. As an added bonus, every year lots of people bring their dogs so it’s like a dog show. Half are doodles of some kind and I was able to love on several of them! So sweet and cute!!!

Yesterday, I set up an "altar de muerto" for my two cousins who died this year (one of my father's side and one on my mother's side of the family). I posted pictures for the first one's wife to see and I shared them by whatsapp with my aunt. Both were grateful that I had honored their loved one in that way.

I recently started a second chemotherapy for my multiple myeloma. Now on the second round of it, there have not been any side effects of nausea so far. This has brought me joy, and appreciation that my body may respond well to this added medication.
