What are the best Stimulations for neuropathy and problems related

Ins companies and Medicare I recently approved stimulation therapy for Neuropathy patients. Should those stimulators be inserted only by a neurosurgeon, and which companies have the best successes?

Hello @hookedongolf2004, It's good to hear that you recently were approved for neuropathy stimulation therapy and are trying to figure out which type is the best for you. I think there are others here on Connect with experience who may have some suggestions or thoughts on which option is the best. I think most stimulators offer a trial before they actual do an implant to make sure it will provide relief for your pain. There are quite a few discussions on spinal stimulators if you want to scan through them and learn what others have shared. Here's a link to the different discussions - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/discussions/?search=stimulators%20for%20neuropathy.

Have you met with your doctor or a pain specialist to discuss your options?

Thank you for checking in. I did just speak with my Orthopedic Doctor’s office and he was ready to make my psychiatrist appt? I had researched this a bit this morning and decided I am too uninformed at this point as to what kind of Doctor should perform it, which company, some negative reviews I have read about all of them, and the risks. So, I am stepping back and taking a deep breathe before heading to the “head” Doctor until I can get some answers we are all experiencing enough pain, problems, and acceleration of the disease that the last thing we need another problem. Medicare just kicked this option on for us and I question which Doctor could have sufficient experience in this situation to help neuropathy. Should it be performed by a Neurosurgeon and not an Orthopedic Doctor? Many questions. Thank you for your note.

Well I did take a walk through the comments and it was not was I was expecting nor wanting, but the last thing we all need is more pain and more lack of ability to function.

Is the stimulation therapy have anything to do with getting shocked. I have Fibromyalgia and I can't stand that. It hurts, so bad even when my cats walk across my legs. cannot stand to be shocked, even a little bit.

Have you heard about the new Sanexas therapy for neuropathy pain? ? I started the Sanexas treatment for neuropathy pain in January of last year. I have had really good results. I have written a story about my experience and would gladly share it with anyone. Please let me know.

I didn't see all the info in this Q&A's, so i can't put in any info. But, I think you are very wise in stepping back, after looking at pros and cons, that you found.
I did see a couple of people that had something implanted and had to have it taken back out, because it was not the .....you will really like this.......benefit as was told. I am NOT referring to what you are looking at, tho, since i missed those comments. Just in general......One Dr., a few years ago told me, sometimes their "cure" is worse that the problem.............So keep searching, to make sure you are making the best decision for yourself. granted, sometimes we just don't know, until we try it.........but, sometimes, the cons sound so bad, one may not want to even try it. I know, this is no help, just suggesting a little more research until if, and when, you feel more sure of which way to go.

ohhhhh, that is so cute. I bet that put a smile on some faces........I wish you were in my rec center card club we could use more people with a fun sense of humor

Humor is about the only thing I can contribute. There are a lot of blood sucking parasites out there that are exploiting our pain and suffering for their benefit. Humor is a weapon.

I would like to be a fly on the wall at the chiropractor’s Convention where they were all bragging about their 40ft yachts they bought while scamming all of us by selling us methods to cure our neuropathy. How sad we can’t trust them.
