Hello, I have joined this site to get medical information and advice for my fibromyalgia, diabetes, cirrhosis, ankylosing spondylitis, hypothyroidism, migraines, hip/back pain, depression and chronic fatigue syndrome. My life was changed in 2007 when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I had to stop working, cooking, cleaning my house, laundry and leaving the house for leisure. I appreciate the responses that I get from others who deal with the same issues.

My name is John Tomlinson; my wife's name is Lynne. Lynne survived a ruptured aorta In August 2024. She was medevaced to Saint Louis University Hospital where the surgical team successfully placed an aorta stent but could not stop the bleeding. This led to more exploratory surgery resulting in chronic pain which has lasted two years. There is another post where I talk about this in more detail. Percocet by itself is not enough to rid her of pain and she is to the point of despair. Has anyone experienced prolonged pain from back surgery?
