Weakness and pain in both legs

Posted by dbeacham15 @dbeacham15, Mar 10 1:27pm

Hello all; Im using this as kind of a last ditch effort to help figure things out. Ive had issues with fasciculations and wierd feelings in my limbs for years. I have had two EMG over the past three years. The first showed "Of note, there are rare fasciculations in all muscles tested. This is of uncertain significance at this time but could be repeated again in 6 months and patient should be followed closely for weakness."

The second one a year later showed "There is no electrophysiologic evidence of peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, or other diffuse neurogenic or myopathic process. The findings of afterdischarges following 20, 50, 100 hertz repetitive nerve stimulation are nonspecific but may be seen with peripheral nerve hyperexcitability.

Bascially they are saying more than likely CFS. Fast forward 6 months to today. Both my legs have been in pain every day all day for about two months now. Basically feels like Ive been running marathons everyday and my legs are tearing from the inside. I have been to Orthopedist and they havent found anything. Ive been to Rheumatoid and they arent seeing much of anything. I had a positive ANA test, but then a negative one after.

I'm reaching the end of my rope because it feels like nerve pain that will not go away. I feel wobbly all the time and like my legs will give out. When I wake up in the middle of the night my legs are ok, but I walk a few steps to go the bathroom and then get back in bed; my legs feel like I just did 50 squats. I get the "creepy crawly" fasciculations all over both legs. Mainly in my Quads. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any suggestions are welcome because I really dont know where to go from here; but living like this is not pleasant. I really just want to figure this out so I can try and get back to ahealthy and happy life. Thanks for any support/recommendation.

I’ve had neuropathy for years with numbness but no pain recently, thanks to LDN but just this week the numbness has increased dramatically in my feet going up my calves & shins & it is really unbearable. Any thoughts?

I just checked the Novaalab website. Could you let us know which item you used? You mentioned $224. There are a couple of units that are on sale with that price.
A local Integrative medicine clinic uses red light therapy, but I've read they charge over $200 for the initial visit to be assessed.
I have arthritis in my knee and back and assume I could use this for these problems too.
Thanks in advance
Sue

I’ve been there - 2 years ado and feel down in my and hit both sides of my rear-ends. Not my backs, but, last month, that doctor had a photo of broke spinal holders one piece to another - Thoracic spine (I hope this is right… or not).

I’ve had this 20 years ago; I was a jogger outside then my pain hit and I couldn’t jog anymore. That doctor (he’s done_ added my lower side of my back short one…. then started riding my outside bicycle. Today, I must hit that running one then added another one from that halving

This coming month, according to him, his surgery will fix my lower back with that little ones & using new ways that can add these parts. I hope the big pain & getting back for a better balance & walking better with my doggies babies.

Thanks so much but I no longer drink or smoke anything anymore.
Best is to exercise, PT& massage. The flareups are the worst - then they usually calm down.

I did not have any problems walking till i had a Afib attack and they put me on amiodarone.I do believe that started my problem. It takes a long time to get it out of your system after stopping too.

Weakness & Pain on your legs —- I’m there 😇 what happened of your “weird feeling” muscle and the nerve pain inside your legs? A few steps of walking? I’m there too. I ask this one: where you a running marathon?

For me, next month, I go to a surgery from the pixs of inevitable nerve inside parts of my low-back leg on my right-side. I’ve used the same piece to a surgery, 20 yrs-ago. I loved jogging/running outside at home, but the pain of my low-back, killed me, so the doc held the same-area of my pack. Sure couldn’t jog/run ended, but took a bicycle to exercised. Sadly, 12 years ago, I had an accident that started my TBI.

Well, that’s about this,
Greg D.
