Was curious about 2 new bumps on hand.
Had 5 months of 65mg methotrexate per week. Now notice 2 pea size lumps on back of hand. I don't think they are ganglions. Has anyone researched rheumatoid nodules after methotrexate?
My RA factor was negative months ago. I'm tired of being called an enigma.

@karo89135, I did a search of Connect and couldn't find a member who has posted about rheumatoid nodules after methotrexate but I did find some research articles on the question that might be helpful.
"The accelerated formation of multiple rheumatoid nodules may also occur in association with certain medications, particularly methotrexate; the presence of multiple subcutaneous rheumatoid nodules can infrequently be seen with only mild or no systemic manifestations of RA, a condition termed rheumatoid nodulosis."

Hi John,
The article I found was AOCD.org. I was shocked as i had a false positive RA test. No one mentions these side effects but this does look like a rare one. I will contact my new rheumatologist tomorrow before I start the Kevzara. Thank you so much for your interest, it certainly is a learning process. I will read those articles with great interest!
