Wart on children’s hand

Posted by ladybugnc @ladybugnc, 1 day ago

My 5 year old grandson has a large wart on top of his hand, near his middle knuckle. His pediatrician tried removing it by putting some type of freeze medicine on it, 2 different monthly treatments. It did cause the top of it to fall off but it grew back. They took him to a dermatologist and he put a chemical on it and gave them a medicine to put on it every night and said it would take 2-3 years for it to go away.
Has anyone had any experience with a wart and his resolution? So far it is not painful and does not bother him but I just hope it doesn’t cause any problems in his use of hand, like writing or even feeling self conscious about it.

I had one as a child. It went away in a few years. No issues with it didn’t like looking at it. Between my thumb and pointer finger.
Good luck.

Thank you for your response. Did you put any
Type of chemical on it? Years for a 5 year old is a long time. It looks terrible.

No, old Doc Hanson said it will go away by it self in a few years. Google it or google/scholar you might get some answers.
Wish you the best.
