waiting to start prolia till tooth implant is done - 1 month till appt

Message to my "bone health specialist" today: (Put on Tymlos 16 months ago but not much effect on spine according to CT scan. Specialists don't like to use dexa due to L2-L5 fusion).
"My dentist and dental implant specialist said that it is best to have the tooth implant done now before starting Prolia - to minimize risk of Prolia's negative effects on the implant. Then 4-6 weeks after - start Prolia. Bone "meal" mixture put in in November already.
I guess there is not the same window of effectiveness closing on Prolia that there might be with Tymlos. Tymlos has no effect on the implant. So, does it seem to you it is ok to wait another 2 months on Prolia - (18 months into Tymlos)? Thanks"
I realize once on Prolia I may never get of it - not sure that is a deal breaker to me at almost 68 years old. I can't really fire the Bone Health Specialist - cause the next appointment would be 6 months wait. (No fractures to date, Tymlos helped total hip 6 percent but no help to spine) TIA

If your dentist has not yet suggested Bone Tite supplement prior to implant I would recommend it. It is supported by implant specialists and apparently helps strengthen the bone around the implant. I’ve been taking it for 3 mos now and my implant is next week.
