Are the mouth and tongue pain and burning new symptoms after you were diagnosed with neuropathy? Have you discussed the symptoms with your doctor?
Can't help your tongue pain but can suggest a fix for neuralgia. That's nerve pain due to worn out insulation. Myelin. Suggest you take plenty of vitamin B12 to rebuild it. Best form if METHYLCOBALAMIN.
Sorry but alcohol cancels B12.
I do get burning on my tongue, gums and cheeks of my mouth sometimes my lips. I have small fiber neuropathy. This is somewhat new and I need to discuss with my neurologist next visit.
yes. The end of my tongue feels tingly and kinda strange like my feet. so do my fingers. I am so worried about this.
I have not been to a Doctor with my Neuropathy, My MD tell me they can't do anything about it. I don't know what kind of Neuropathy I have and would like to see a Doctor. What kind of a Doctor do I go to? I have had this for 2 years and it is getting worse. Thanks in advance Fay Stevens
@faybe - A neurologist is normally the specialist you see to diagnose neuropathy. Mayo Clinic has more information about diagnosis and treatment here - https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/peripheral-neuropathy/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20352067.
