Very thankful for new knee

Posted by shelby29 @shelby29, Oct 5, 2025

I read so many sad reports on here so want to post something positive. 10 weeks out, ROM 120, flat leg zero. No pain unless I overdue. Still ice and elevate a couple times a day. Swelling is there but not bad. Sleeping is getting better everyday. So far no regrets and enjoying pain-free dog walks!

I wish there was a way to know where people who have had both good and bad experiences after TKR had gotten their surgery at. Not necessarily the name of the doc or hospital but at least the city would be helpful. Mine is being done in Rochester the end of June.

NY or Minnesota?

Had mine done yesterday. My advice take the maximum pain meds they will give you. I like to think I have a high pain threshold. It’s very painful, and prevents me from sleeping. I increased the opioid to 10 mg, makes me much more comfortable.
