Variability in hearing capability day to day.
I have profound hearing loss acquired over 25 years in sudden occasions with no diagnosed cause. I am a musician and now cannot discern music. It is all about clarity, not volume. ReSound Nexus aides keep me functional particularly the streaming accessories. Do others experience day to day major differences in clarity? Often worse in morning or the first of several days.
Also, I have had 3 tries at a satisfactory ear mold in the one ear without real success. I can usually press on the h.a. in a certain way and get much clearer sound but cannot maintain that without the selective finger pressure. Any thoughts on a better way to get effective molds? Thank you.

I was born with nerve deafness. It was noted in gradeschool during testing. At that time, it was not considered profound. Throughout the coming years, it became much worse with a secondary acquired disease. I developed quite suddenly Meniere's. Since then, I have tried several hearing aids. I get occlusion when wearing all in the ear type aids. I find myself constantly trying to pop my ears to stabilize the pressure. The behind the ear models seem to be a bit better. It has always been difficult getting a good mold fit. I have small ear canals. I have never found the answer to the problem, so have pretty much given up and I am currently learning ASL. I know it is terribly frustrating.
