Vargas Nerve Damage

I am looking into possibility of Vargas nerve damage as it relates to gastrointestinal problems and chronic fatigue. Does anyone have suggested diet, repair techniques, material to share? Thank you.

The Vagus nerve (correct spelling) is a long nerve running from the brain down to the pelvis. It has many branches off it running to various organs. It doesn't typically sustain damage unless of blunt force, cutting, or burning/cauterization. In the latter case, this can happen during radio frequency ablation of the left atrium to stop atrial fibrillation. The Vagus nerve runs parallel to the esophagus and down past the back of the heart.
I have never heard of a 'repair' of the Vagus nerve, but I suppose anything is possible in the right hands. However, I have read about Vagus nerve 'tone' and loss of tone, and what impact it can have on heart rhythm, gut health, and so on:
