Upper right lobectomy for stage 1 adeno 1.8 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm anyone?
So I met with the surgeon and he feels confident that a lobectomy is the way to go as it is only stage one and this sounds great to me especially given that I was afraid it wouldn't be an option as there are nodules in all the lobes but now I'm a little scared 🙂 can anyone advise on what it is like to go through ?

Dr. Brusett and he uses the DaVinci robot !
Yes , Surgeon is using Davinci and I have watched all of the you tube videos available and wow, I'm glad to live in this decade! I have 2 new wedge pillows that I have been "practicing" sleeping with for about a week now and a bunch of comfy pants and zip up hoodies ready to go ! Thanks for your input I hope your healing continues to go well !
Who is your surgeon?
My surgery was robotically. Will yours be done that way?
I had mine at Emory University Hospital.
I bought some really comfy pj pants and wore those under my hospital gown.
I brought two of my pillows and a comfy throw blanket.
The more pillows the better.!
I had to sleep in my recliner the first night. Second night I slept in bed with lots of pillows. I haven’t been able to lie down comfortably.
Thank goodness for pillows and recliners.!
Wishing you all the best. Feel free to reach out any time.

I just had my lower right lobe removed on Nov. 21. I was out on
the 23, Thanksgiving Day.
The first night I was pretty out of it. I had. Dilauded pump.
Next day they took away IV meds, removed the catheter and one tube.
They kept my pain under control
They removed the other tube the next day and I was discharged.?
The tubes weren’t too bad. I was able to walk around carrying the box.
Also, removing the tubes did not hurt.
Now that I am home I am doing my breathing exercises and walking.
My husband is wonderful and he helps me with anything I can’t do.
I am 72years old.
Great news.
Doing well. I was only in 3 hospital days. Out on Thanksgiving.
It is painful. They gave me oxy but I have only taken a couple.
Chest tubes were obnoxious but didn’t hurt. They removed one the next day and the other before I left.
I’m doing my breathing exercises and walking.
Actually feeling much better today.
Thanks for checking in.
