Umbilical hernia repair Post-Op pain

Hello!

I have chronic abdominal pain with GI issues and recently did a fat containing umbilical hernia repair (open repair). It’s been one week post-op and I have this really bad pain on the left side of my bellybutton. Is this normal? Is it going to go away? How long is it going to take? Has anyone had a similar experience?
