Type one diabetes and ET any here share these two dx’s?

Hi, I am newly dx with ET on HU. I also have type one diabetes and on an insulin pump. To manage type one I use a cgm unfortunately HU interferes with it functions. Anyone in this group share these concerns? Looking for support. Docs are unhelpful.
Thanks

Welcome to Connect, @platlite7. This is a bit of a conundrum for you with the conflict in meds. From my understanding HU can falsely elevate sensor glucose (SG) readings which would interfere with your successful treatment for diabetes.

From the American Diabetes Association talks about the effect of hydroxyurea with a continuous glucose monitor.

There are other drugs available besides HU for the treatment of essential thrombocythemia. Have you discussed the possibility of changing from Hydroxy to another type?
