tympanoplasty with mastoidectomy surgery 5 years later ear infection

hello i had major surgery on my left ear. what was suppose to be a 5-6 hour surgery turned into a 10 hour surgery. here we are 5 years later and im getting ear infections. i went to urgent care where tey prescribed me both oral antoibiotics and ear drops. went to see a doctor (not my doctor shes outta the country) and he says everything is fine, if i feel moisture just mix vinegar and alcohol and put that in my ear?? im worried the cholesteatoma has returned..
anyone else experiance what i am?
