Two locations at Mayo Phoenix
Hello, I am coming to Mayo Phoenix tomorrow for two days of testing/evaluation for kidney transplant.
I'm wondering how much of a challenge will it be to travel from the Marriott Hotel at the Mayo location to both of the facilities, as one is in Scottsdale.
We're renting a car at the airport but a little concerned with getting to all the appointments over Wednesday and Thursday.
Any advice/suggestions would be welcome!
Thanks, Robin

I’ve traveled between the two many times and think it was about 20 minutes between. Some of that is freeway. If you have GPS, it should be no problem.
If you have time, say at least half a day, you might want to visit Taliesin, the Frank Loyd Wright school, which is between the two facilities
Also, the music museum, which is really, really interesting is very close to the Mayo Boulevard facility. That, however takes a whole day.
If you’re interested, there is a free shuttle thar runs every half hour between tbe campuses. Check the website
Plan for a 30 minute drive between the Shea campus and the Mayo hospital. The traffic can be bad at times, and you have to find parking, and your check in site. Sometimes it has been confusing. They want you to check in 15 minutes early for every appointment, and they are very good at being on time.
It’s easy- take the 101 East to shea blvd, then East on Shea. There are signs that will direct you, and it’s a signalized intersection. You will turn left into complex. Allow 20-30 minutes.
Thanks so much!
I'm so nervous and just hoping for the best!
Don't be nervous as others have said, it is not a bad distance between the two facilities. I have taken the shuttle many times and it worked out fine. There is valet parking at the Phoenix facility but not the Shea facility. In some ways, you could take the shuttle between them and the shuttle drops you off right at the door. No need to find a parking place. There is below ground parking at Shea as well as above ground. If it shot (and it probably will be) you might like to use the underground - - Or the shuttle. It depends on your times for procedures.
