I am dealing with a reoccurrence of my TNBC . Just completed my chemo protocol yesterday after many bumps, including 2 hospital stays. Mine was a localized and same cancer from 2 and 1/2 years ago, I have a few weeks break and then I will start 25 rad treatments, TNBC is a beast 😡

My reoccurrence was found in my 6 month bilateral mammogram and ultrasound. It was found in my ultrasound not my mammogram ( it was too deep for the mammogram to pick it up! Always say you NEED the ultrasound!

Thanks for the reminder. I'm scheduled for annual mammogram and messaged my surgeon that I also want an ultrasound. She messaged back that she'd added it to the prescription and it was oversight and thanked me for catching it...

Have you asked your gynecologist about this? It seems like something that a medical specialist would be best suited to advise on...

Hi callaloo, yes i had consulted my gynecologist when i had the same issue 3 months before. She told me irregular menstrual cycles is a side effects of my cancer treatment.Since i am TNBC , she was hesitant to give any hormone balancing medicines

I hadn't heard that but know very little about TNBC. I would ask my oncologist if it 'means anything' or is just a side effect. And when things will normalize. Hopefully it isn't anything to worry about and just another small speed bump during cancer treatment that resolves easily later.

We’re you able to feel the lump?

REPLY

No, neither I and my 2 oncologists couldn’t feel the lump. It was very deep.
