Trileptal causing depression

I was prescribed Trileptal at the end of July during an inpatient stay and have been extremely depressed ever since. My psychiatrist has kept me on the medication and has even increased it. I didn’t notice the correlation until a few weeks ago when I didn’t take it for a few hours in the morning and felt normal for the first time in weeks. Then after I took it I felt very depressed. Weepy, no interest in anything unable to do simple tasks. I also have a 10 month old baby. After I take the medication I have to let family take over her care. My psychiatrist does not seem like there will be any change any time soon. What should I do?
