TKR. Woke up with flu on knee joint after 5.5yrs
5.5 yrs ago had a right Total Knee replacement with good results. I am in general good health for a female, 68yrs old. Four months ago woke up to excess fluid in my joint, thus restricting movement and the ability to walk any distance (around the block) without major discomfort. Last week had the knee aspirated. This released some pressure and discomfort, however, there is still more fluid. Bone scans show an uptake in the patella area and x-rays showed some unusual elements. The blood work is from the aspirated synovial fluid. Surgeon is to call me in a week.

Surgeon is going to go in and see just what is going on. I recall the word 'cut' as opposed to scope. Wait list up to 4 months (Canada). Shortage of aenesthethists. The challenge is to not favour the knee to much as it throws my back out. Thx for the hugs.
