I'm on day 8 of having Covid and I'm scheduled for knee replacement surgery on December 21st. What are your thoughts on going through with the surgery? I haven't felt up to doing the exercises lately which I know are beneficial for recovery.

Purely my opinion here – we never know how long a Covid infection will affect a specific individual. Day 8 is very early on, and you have 3 weeks yet to heal & exercise. I bet this is nerve wracking for you, since you already made the decision to have surgery and get rid of the pain!
If I were in your situation, I would wait to make a decision, and see how I feel in the next 2 weeks. Also consult both the surgeon and the facility about their requirements. My daughter's hospital requires 21 days from end of symptoms to day of surgery, plus a preop evaluation by the primary 7 days before to decide if you are healthy enough.
Let me know what your docs say – I hope you will be ready to do it!

Thank you. I'm planning on contacting the surgeons office tomorrow and also try for the third time to get the antibody treatment. Thanks again.
