Tips for Living with Morton's Toe
After 60 years, I just found out I have Morton's Toe - not to be confused with Morton's Neuroma. The #2 toe on my left foot has been longer than the #1 toe since birth apparently, and is genetic. It only started to become painful recently when I finished a course of Prednisone, and I have neuropathy in my feet from chemo long ago.
The tip of the Morton's toe had become calloused and was causing much pain from pressure. My podiatrist has been removing calloused skin and it's better, especially when I wear open-toe shoes, but steping out with sandals or bare feet is not a full time solution. I've resorted to cutting the tip of my socks off so there's no pressure on the the toe.
I'm wondering what anyone out there with Morton's toe is doing to manage the condition?
