Tight band around knee

I broke my knee in two places in 2018. After them putting a plate in, I had a tight band feeling around knee. In 2021 they did a TKR on it. Of course it didn’t take care of the problem. Now 5 years later I’m still having this problem. I’ve had lots of PT, a Sprint, and GAE. Nothing has helped, I keep ice on it for pain relief. I have other pains in it also. They take X-rays and everything looks good, but that’s only the TKR that they’re looking at. So of course nothing they can do to help. I still have more knee there, can’t they look at it somehow? Sick of the pain.

I would suggest searching for an orthopedic surgeon who does laparoscopic surgery. They can go inside your knee with tiny cameras via a half inch incision and use tiny tools to make repairs!! Best wishes!

I would suggest searching for an orthopedic surgeon who does laparoscopic surgery. They can go inside your knee with tiny cameras via a half inch incision and use tiny tools to make repairs!! Best wishes!

I’m going to an orthopedic and they haven’t mentioned that. Will that get rid of tight band feeling?

@vlwin at least with laparoscopic surgery that will give the surgeon a means to actually look inside of your knee to see what is going on. X rays show the bones, but not what other things are happening. You may have to SEARCH for an experienced laproscopic surgeon. I hope you are near a big medical facility.
