Thyroid cancer plastered to trachea. Anyone?

Posted by kmlnj @kmlnj, Jun 4, 2025

I love how this group is so supportive and positive.
My thyroid cancer was plastered to my trachea. My thyroidectomy was October 2024. I completed 35 radiation treatments and 6 chemotherapy in early March 2025.
There was a 2cm mass left on my cricroid.
"The cricoid cartilage connects to other laryngeal structures, including the thyroid cartilage, arytenoid cartilages, and the first tracheal ring. "
That is what the treatment was focused on, plus the general area.
Did anyone have a similar condition?

I had a total thyroidectomy in October 2025 and RAI treatment last week. Today i go back for a follow up scan

I was okay after RAI for a few days but am now experiencing numbness in my mouth, sore throat that inhibits my ability to swallow, tingling in my lip and sensitivity in my teeth. The past six months have been horrific. Please tell me that the RAI mouth aches will go away and that i will regain my footing
